George Huitker is in his 40s and resides in Canberra. He's been heavily involved in arts and sports and these activities have been good to him.

He doesn't like blurbs like this all that much as they rarely encapsulate the essence of a person or reveal all that much about the people he has met and the places he's been. They are just lists of concrete things which have been done and dusted.

Maybe that's why he loves photography.

It's an art form which captures, reveals and records telling moments, people and places a hell of a lot better (sometimes) than written or spoken words, songs and stories, and even moving pictures. In his photographs, he hopes to have spotted something missed, a joy or grace - natural or otherwise - possibly taken for granted, or detected a mood that may have a significance, resonance and meaning to more than just the person who has clicked the shutter.
