Songs from the Silver Screen

Sing along with some sensational songs, both silly and serious, from the silver screen as Radford College in association with HMT (featuring George Huitker, Toni Maxfield and Pat Oxley) take you on yet another crazy night down (movie's) memory lane on Saturday 10 November. Tix are $25 a head - preferred table of 10 - all proceeds to Carer's ACT. The TB Millar Hall at Radford College will be the launch-pad for this rocket-ship to the stars with ignition at 7.30pm. Come dressed as your favourite film actor, actress, animal or monster.

If you wish to book, e-mail bookings@radford.act.edu.au to secure your seat in the first instance. Then finalise payment ASAP by either 1) making a cheque out to "Radford College" (these can be left at or mailed to The Reception, Radford College, College Street Bruce, 2617); 2) leaving cash in a clearly marked envelope at the Radford College Reception; or 3) Credit Card (surcharge 1%) via the Accounts Section at Radford College. In all cases, do not forget to indicate who the booking is for and your contact details! Please note that this function is now an Over-18 event.

The show will be repeated on New Year's Eve at Teatro Vivaldi's with Judy Satrapa taking over from Toni Maxfield. Thanks for your support of this fun-filled night for a worthy (and in my case timely) cause.

About Us

HMT is a fresh and exciting theatre ensemble established in April 2001 by Canberran actor, coach, composer, director, poet, and playwright George Huitker. HMT was originally formed to develop challenging and edgy works in which movement is the prime mode of expression. Over the past decade, Huitker, a high-school Drama teacher, has been dedicated to exploring and experimenting with stage movement. This commitment has resulted in productions with many local theatre companies.

Production values are vital to HMT. Movement is merged with multimedia, action with animation, and on-stage visuals enhanced by video effects. For this purpose, HMT are blood brothers with a local youth-driven video/post-production company, Problem Child Productions. The appeal of HMT's performances is not to be based on a person's age, but their interest in theatre and their appetite for innovation.

Details of past productions can be found on this website, although George had put the company on hold for 2005 and 2006. During this sabbatical HMT continued to produce their two popular Rock Charity Concerts at Radford College which they will continue to do. In 2007, the first show will be a celebration of GH's 40th birthday and will be a Top 40 Countdown of his favourite rockers - one track from each year of life! Things will wind-up at the end of the year with a celebration of silver screen songs.
